Though indie publishing has become so wonderfully accessible, many indie authors don't do much for marketing themselves. This makes it hard for even the most indie-loving reader to actually find indie books and authors. 

To help these writers and authors alike, I try to be very vocal about the indie books which I read.

This is one way of doing that!

Below is a list of all the indie books that I recommend. By "recommend," I mean that these are books which I've read all the way through and gave a good rating to.

This means that these books aren't necessarily ones that I would count among my favorites, but rather I recognize that they are generally good books.

How to Use This List

 

- Each book will have with it a series of ratings to give more insight on various aspects, as well as a link to my full review for that book. They also will have a few notes on themes, tropes, and the book's content listed below them.

(Some titles won't have reviews or notes yet as they're books I read some time ago; I plan to reread and review those for this purpose! In the meantime, if you have any questions feel free to ask through my contact form.)

- Each book title will link to where you can purchase the book. 

There are some instances where the book is able to bought as a digital or physical copy using separate links.

In that case, I will always link to the physical copy, as this better financially supports the author.

 

- Each author name will link to the author's official website.

When the author does not have a website, it will instead link to one of the author's social media pages.

Notes on the Organization of Books 

​

- The books are organized in alphabetized categories by genre, and then within each genre they are organized alphabetically by the author's last name. 

​

- Among the different categories, you may notice that "Anthologies & Collections" is not a genre. You are, of course, correct.

However, I have marked it as its own category because anthologies and collections often have mixed genres.

So for the sake of keeping things orderly, they are all filed under this category, and then there will be a note specifying  the various genres of each book.

- You may notice that not every genre is represented on this list. That's not because I won't read those kinds of books, but rather because I have yet to read them.

If/when I do read them, this list will be updated accordingly.
